[edit] Set Up (Morning Teams)
Arrival time for the morning team is 8am and for the evening team is 6pm. In order for everything to run smoothly and to be done on time, EVERYONE needs to be on time. It is essential! Everything required for set up is in the closet on the back of the stage except for lighting and video capturing gear. That is in the church office. Each operator is responsible for setting up their own gear. If you finish setting up your area, help someone else. No standing around until everything is done. Be sure to run cables neatly and out of the way. If cables are run across the floor, cover them with cable covers and tape. Be sure to hide as much as you can including the area in front of the tech tables. That has a tendency to be a messy bunch of cables and we need to make sure that it is as neat as possible and out of the way so that tech team members can easily walk back there if there is a problem. Here is an order of how things should go:
- Set up gear
- Tidy up cables and make sure that everything is covered and looks neat
- Check curtains, cables and stage to make sure that everything is professional looking and put away
- Be done and present for 9:30am prayer time in the theater
[edit] Tear Down (Night Teams)
After the service is over, tear down can begin immediately except for the sound board. The sound board needs to stay operational for at least 5 minutes after the service is over to play music. When taking things apart, especially when in a hurry, things have a tendency to get misplaced. Everything has a place. If you don’t know where to put something, ask your team leader. Most cases are marked and you will also go over tear down procedures in your tech training. It will also be in this handbook. Make sure cables are wound neatly and all excess tape is off of them. Put everything back in the closet backstage. Put cable covers and projector tables on stage behind the curtain. Here is an order of how things should go:
- Tear down gear
- Put all gear in closet (Except for lighting and video capturing gear)
- Do a room check to make sure that everything is put away
- Put lighting and video capturing gear in church office
